Denmark stocks higher at close of trade; OMX Copenhagen 20 up 0.07%

Investing.com – Denmark stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Consumer Goods, Software & Computer Services and Technology sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 rose 0.07%.

The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Novozymes A/S B (CSE:NZYMb), which rose 1.56% or 5.20 points to trade at 338.20 at the close. Meanwhile, AP Moeller – Maersk A/S B (CSE:MAERSKb) added 1.19% or 165.00 points to end at 14,040.00 and GN Store Nord (CSE:GN) was up 1.10% or 1.85 points to 169.70 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Jyske Bank A/S (CSE:JYSK), which fell 1.36% or 7.00 points to trade at 507.00 at the close. Danske Bank A/S (CSE:DANSKE) declined 1.29% or 2.15 points to end at 164.20 and Pandora A/S (CSE:PNDORA) was down 1.17% or 7.80 points to 656.60.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 81 to 65 and 22 ended unchanged.

Crude oil for September delivery was up 0.59% or 0.45 to $76.11 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 0.78% or 0.62 to hit $80.25 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.12% or 2.45 to trade at $1,978.35 a troy ounce.

USD/DKK was up 0.31% to 6.66, while EUR/DKK unchanged 0.00% to 7.45.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.45% at 100.07.
